More Essential Happiness Given
Despite the Virus Threat
The Gift of Happiness foundation Chairperson, San and her daughter Mira were challenged with the task of delivering essential goods to the family of a severely handicapped young lady who lives in a village that has been isolated (as an Island community) from the rest of Bangkok for several weeks. Likewise San and Mira have been self isolating in their home for more than four weeks.
| Founder at the Gift of Happiness Foundation, Eddie Haworth has been supporting this family for a couple of years and his regular deliveries of essential aid have gone very smoothly ever since he started to support family. However, in late March 2020, Eddie had arranged to visit his family in Scotland for the first time in almost 20 years! He was fully expecting to return to Thailand after just a few weeks in the UK, but of course, the Virus has put a stop to all his plans for the time-being? |  Eddie's last visit to the village in February 2020 (HERE) |
Since Eddie arrived in Scotland he has worked very hard to maintain the smooth running of his little charity and he's constantly monitoring the ever changing situation in Thailand. He judged that the delivery of goods by San and Mira would be safe enough to go ahead since he knew that both families have been safely isolating since the whole COVID-19 catastrophe reared is ugly head. Happily, San wholeheartedly agreed to to the emergency run out to the village and had no fear of contact with the family who were desperately in need of the goods that San and Mira brought to them.
The Happiness People will Never Abandon the Needy People!
Staff and Volunteers at the Gift of Happiness Foundation are "just like everyone else" now on lockdown. We are unable to even visit most of the thousands of needy people we serve and we are unable to give them the usual clothing, educational supplies, bedding, toiletries and toys that we would normally be giving them every week.
But, we are still planning several major aid giving projects to start just as soon as we are allowed to load the trucks and deliver the goods! And we are still delivering essential toiletries and food aid to some people close to Bangkok who have absolutely no chance to fend for themselves during this time of devastating crisis.
