Gift of Happiness Foundation and a great team of 12 hairdressers paid a visit to the Temple orphanage at Wat Bang Phloeng, Chang Wat Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Thailand on this fantastic day of giving HAPPINESS to all the children and Monks at the Orphanage.
Akha hill tribe children are given another dose of Free HAPPINESS!
We were delighted to be well equipped to give another big dose of HAPPINESS to a small number of 60 orphaned or abandoned Akha hill tribe children who have been rescued from places where they were in danger of being exploited as so-called long neck tribe exhibits?
Now they are living in a safe environment at Wat Bang Phloeng Orphanage, north of Ayutthaya and some of the older children actually recalled seeing the Go happiness Clown a few years ago when we visited them in their village location next to the Thai/Burma border near Mae Hong Son.

HAPPY HAIRDRESSING TEAM IN THAILAND

On this occasion, we gave something a little different to our usual gifts of toys, clothing, educational supplies and Clown Shows. We were delighted to have a group of 12 young ladies from a Bangkok based hairdressing collage, who came along to give all the children a free haircut and styling session before the big show and hand-out of goodies commenced!

Aid and Show Giving Near the Ancient City of Ayutthaya
Charter International School give another load of great gifts for poor children!
A week before we set-out on this latest aid and show giving project near the ancient city of Ayutthaya, Thailand. We collected a fantastic load of goodies like toys, educational supplies, bedding and clothing from Charter International School in Bangkok. We also received a large donation of cash from Charter, plus a great gift of precherished school uniforms from Regent's International School in Bangkok.
Our journey from Bangkok to the temple took about 2 hours and we arrived more or less on time to set-up the show equipment and donations put-out on tables for the children to see after they had their haircuts. Then we served lunch that Eddie had bought from a trusted eatery near the Go happiness Centre in Bangkok earlier that day

Lunch was served to all the children and Monks (Before noon) by volunteers from Australia and Northern Ireland while Eddie, Bob and Karn set-up the show equipment ready to start performing straight after lunch and snacks given by the hairdressers.
The show went very well indeed, especially when all the children became involved in Clown Eckie's new comedy musical routines. "A very noisy and fun part of his 45 minute production!" After the big show, we lined-up the children for an even bigger hand-out of toys, clothing, educational supplies and much more. |
Some great school uniforms and sun visa hats were donated by Regents International School, Bangkok and most of the other clothing, toys and educational supplies came from the fantastic children from Charter International School in Bangkok.

So all-in-all...
A great day of fun and aid giving was had by all and those 60 young people were left with some more VERY HAPPY memories that no-one can ever steel from them. And the Gift of Happiness Foundation team were also delighted to take away that lovey warm fuzzy feeling we always get after giving so much unconditional joy to some of the neediest people in Thailand!
