This project took 7 days to complete.
Our small team of volunteers stayed throughout the period to supervise and help until the end of construction. We also had to travel to the nearest town of Mae Sot several times a day to keep the builders supplied with all the important materials needed to make this building safe and secure for the children of the village. 'Thank You' to all who gave time & money! All contributions were used to make sure the people of this village can now rest assured that they will have a more dignified and comfortable few moments in every day when they visit this great new facility. "Special thanks these contributors!"

Work was completed on Sunday 04/05/14.
We are proud to have achieved a successful outcome, despite the language and cultural barriers that we faced throughout this (Rather stressful) week of 'Happy Construction'.

Villagers use a 7-meter deep water well. This traditionally means sending women and young people to fill old paint tins or small buckets with water for daily use. The drinking water is supplied by another NGO based in Mae Sot, but they do not offer any help for construction projects like water pumping etc.

A couple of options.
1. Drilling a new well/bore-hole and pumping the water close to where it's needed is a very expensive option and we have already been quoted in excess of ฿-150,000-00 ($US-4,650-00).
2. An new water pump and pipes to take it to the top of the village (Around 400 meters). This is the cheapest and most commonly used method of moving water around places like this remote village. We estimate the costs to be around ฿-70 to 90,000 and we will publish the total amount needed as soon as our engineers have finished their survey.
THESE PROJECTS ONLY HAPPEN WHEN WE GET DONATIONS FROM YOU!
