Gift of Happiness Foundation Director, Eddie Haworth morns the loss of a good friend in Ayuttaya.
Khun Attapol Kechararat passed away peacefully in hospital during the night of Friday 04th February 2012, following a short illness and treatment for lymphatic cancer.
Attapol (Nong) was a great friend who quietly helped me and our foundation in many small but significant ways over the past few years. As the maker of several fiberglass props that we regularly use...He never asked for anything in return for his work and took a great pride in his craftsmanship. I am grateful for my connection to a life that was lived with grace, integrity, and humility...And I will remember Nong -- with love.
I will attend the last day of funeral rights and cremation at Wat Sam Ma Kan near Ayutthaya on Thursday 09th February. On behalf of the Gift of Happiness Foundation, I will also give educational equipment in honor of Khun Attapol, to his childhood school -- The one we've been supporting with his help for the past few years - (Wat Sam Ma Kan School).
