Gift of Happiness Foundation and the South African Embassy, Bangkok give even more happiness to the survivors of abuse who are resident at one of Bangkok's safe houses for women and children.
The S/A Embassy and GoHF have jointly named this project "Nelson Mandela Happiness Day" in further recognition of his great support of oppressed and abused people throughout his lifetime.

This is the second visit by the S/A Embassy and GoHF in the last few weeks, the first one being in recognition of International Nelson Mandela Day 18 July 2016. During that visit it was suggested by the South African Embassy Chargé d'affaires, Mr Deon Seals, to Eddie Haworth, that we return as soon as possible to give the residents some much needed happiness in the form of Clown Eckie's "Big Fat Buffoonery Show".
Giving enough food to last for months!
We also gave the women and children some more essential clothing, baby-wear donated by ExoTravel, Bangkok and other kind supporters of Gift of Happiness Foundation. Plus another 100 kilos of pasta, bringing the total amount to to 250 kilos since we gave a larger donation of this product a few weeks ago. This food was kindly sponsored by Eurofood, BKK, and the residents at the Emergency home now have enough to last several months!
Following a recent suggestion by Gift of Happiness Foundation Director Eddie Haworth, a well known USA fast food outlet also sent a delivery of snacks for the residents lunch on this special one day event at the Emergency Home.

Information: The emergency home provides assistance to women and children who are victims of forced prostitution, rape, HIV/AIDS, abandonment and physical and emotional abuse. The emergency home also provides education, vocational and life skills training and hotline counselling services.
Number of women and children: 28 children and 70 women.
