Uniforms, rice and loads more goodies for Baan Klong Song Rong school in Samut Songkram, Thailand.
In the past few months we have given a few truck-loads of useful goods to this fishing village school, which is situated on the the Mae Klong river estuary, Gulf of Thailand.
We have visited the school several times recently and given truck-loads of essential educational equipment, clothing, food and toys.
Last week we gave rice and committed to supply rice for a year. This week we gave all the children new school uniforms to last until the end of 2012. When we visited the school, we noticed that some of the children were away from classes. They must help their parents when there's fish to be sorted. But we left enough school shirts for the ones who were absent and made sure everyone present also received a brand new polo shirt.
We will follow-up by giving new socks, shoes and trousers for all the children just as soon as we receive enough funding to buy the goods.
