During our latest visit to the city of Mae Sot on the Thai Burma border, we gave mosquito nets, medical supplies and monitoring equipment for all the in-patients at Mae Tao Clinic. We also gave the manager some more agricultural tools for him to hand-out to farmers when they are discharged from the clinic. This visit was followed by a trip to a location outside the city where migrant people study computer skills. We gave them a collection of computers, laptops and loads of computer related equipment. Then we stored a truck load of warm clothing, bedding, towels and baby clothing ready for giving to the people living at Umpien refugee camp, located in the high mountains north of Mae Sot. We will deliver those goods when we return to the region at the end of January & early February.
Thank you to all who've helped! -- All these goods and money to buy medical supplies & mosquito nets have been donated by individual families, small social groups and International schools in Thailand and abroad.
We need funding for more mosquito nets @ 9,000 baht per 100 - (minimum order 100). Then we need funds for our next project to deliver goods to refugee camps later this month. Minimum total amount needed for nets and project is 25,000 Baht (Around $800USD)
