Project Phase One. July 24 to August 09:
During this phase we collected donations of clothing, educational, medical and food supplies in Bangkok. We sorted and delivered them to DHL warehouse in Nonthaburi for redistribution to Mae Sot.
From August 06 to August 09, we visited Mae Sot to give our truck load and a large DHL truck load of goods to Mae Tao Clinic in Mae Sot. We also gave dry clothing and a comical show for 300 children at AGAPE Orphanage before returning to Bangkok.
Project Phase Two. August 26 to August 30:
During this phase we collected more donations of clothing, educational, medical and food supplies in Bangkok. We sorted and delivered them directly to Mae Sot. We visited and gave essential supplies to Mae Tao Clinic and five migrant schools in the Mae Sot area. We received help from the Migrant Schools Curriculum Project office and the Migrant Education office in Mae Sot. They provided important guidance and permissions to visit the neediest migrant schools in the area. We suffered a 4x4 vehicle break-down caused by the rough terrain whilst travelling to the Rocky Mountain migrant school. We were therefore unable to visit the Sky Blue migrant school for the children who live on the garbage dump near Mae Sot, but we have agreed to visit that school in September, 2013.
The schools were:
1. CDC residential migrant school - Gifts and shows for 500 children.
2. Irrawaddy Flower Garden migrant school & Learning Centre. Gifts and shows for 200 children.
3. Rocky Mountain migrant school & Learning Centre. - Gifts and shows for 100 children.
4. Champion migrant school & Learning Centre. - Gifts and shows for 130 children.
5. Morning Glory migrant school & Learning Centre. - Gifts and shows for 300 children.
