A Happy Day for Bangkok Canal-side Slum Dwellers
02/03/19; Gift of Happiness Foundation gave another ton or more of essential clothing, toys, books bedding, toweling and food to the needy people living in a hidden canalside slum that runs along Khlong Ton in Bangkok. This time round we gave a lot of brand-new clothing, underwear and bedding. But just as importantly, were able to give all the girls and some of the ladies a whole bunch of brand-new hair & wristbands and the boys all received plenty more goodies more suitable for them...Such simple things can bring so much joy into the lives of children who live under such harsh circumstances, and the people at this place showed us a great deal of genuine appreciation in return for the gifts-a-plenty!
The people living alongside the canal are protected by some very aggressive dogs, so we couldn't get right into the slum to take pictures. But we are very sure the people living there are most worthy of receiving the aid that we gave and will continue to give throughout 2019 and beyond.
Go Happiness will revisit this slum in a few weeks when Clown Eckie will present the whole community of more than 250 families with one of his "Big Fat Buffoonery Shows", that'll be staged under the bridge and well away from those dogs!

This one day aid giving project was produced by Eddie Haworth and attended by another volunteer, Mr Renato Porsio, plus two GoHF staff.
