Remote Thailand village school gets a special festive surprise
Our December Show and Aid Giving Project is dedicated to the memory of Nelson Mandela.
The shows still went-on despite Director, Eddie Haworth (AKA...Clown Eckie's) recent surgery to fix an old leg wound. The hospital visit was at the Kwai River Christian Hospital in a remote village north of Sangkhlaburi next to the Thai/Burma border in Northern Thailand. So the shows took place in the same area at Thai schools near the border crossing close to Three Pagodas Pass. We also gave two truck loads of toys, educational equipment, playground equipment, bicycles and clothing for around 1,000 needy children. -- Here's a link to the original itinerary for this project.
We spent eight days in Sangkhlaburi while Eddie gave shows, had his surgery and received his follow-up treatment which was given by a great British Surgeon at the small missionary hospital situated close to a refugee camp and large community of migrant people along that part of the border.

We were planing to revisit the area in January, but it looks like Eddies leg is going to take another month or so to heal enough for him to drive so far and then perform the usual two shows per day during another week long visit.
