Gift of Happiness Volunteers need transport to Mae Sot, Thailand !
We have just learned that our usual extra transport for volunteers will not be available to us for our visit to the kids on the dump and about 850 other children at locations around Mae Sot, N Thailand - 14th to 18th January 2013.

We need someone to sponsor the rental or loan of a minivan or four door pick-up truck to carry much needed goods and a few volunteers. We have a very small budget for this unforeseen requirement, but we can pay all the fuel costs, drivers accommodation and food.

We need someone to sponsor the rental or loan of a minivan or four door pick-up truck to carry much needed goods and a few volunteers. We have a very small budget for this unforeseen requirement, but we can pay all the fuel costs, drivers accommodation and food.
Project Overview:
This five day trip to Mae Sot will include visits to Mae Tao Clinic, AGAPE Orphanage/school, Best Friend Migrant School, Nam Tok (Water Fall Migrant School, Two more Migrant schools as yet unnamed and Sky Blue school on the garbage dump. We will also visit the HIV/AIDS Health Centre for men. All these people are living in very poor or desperately poor situations and volunteers assisting on this project must be prepared to experience some sights that may be upsetting. As usual, we will be using the Director’s own truck to transport donations and volunteers on this trip. We are hoping to organising a second vehicle and driver, by loan or hire. We have no special budget for any part of this project and we are totally reliant on donations from anyone who can help cover our fuel and other costs incurred during this important mission. We will spend the first day loading two vehicles with donations and show equipment for the Clown Shows to be given at most locations. Then we will drive the six/seven hour journey to Mae Sot where we will spend four nights before check-out and return to Bangkok on Friday 18th January.

More children's clothing & toys still needed for 1000 kids in North Thailand!
We will be accepting as many children's clothes and toys as you can give us before Friday 11th January 2013! All goods can be dropped-off at three locations in Bangkok and we may be able to collect from you if needed.
