Our appeal has been a great success and we thank all those great people who brought so much to our charity shop in Bangkok. We also thank DHL Thailand for transporting a great big truck full of essential goods all the way to Mae Sot. It's a long haul in a heavy goods vehicle and we very much appreciate the way that DHL and all others rallied together to help us during this crisis.
Gift of happiness volunteers also went to Mae Sot in order to make sure all the goods went to the right place and to give a little comfort and happiness to about 300 orphans who were also affected by the floods. We were able to afford this part of the aid relief project and also part of the last phase of this month's Mae Sot mission, thanks to BCTFN (British Community in Thailand Foundation for the Needy).
This project doesn't end until 29th August!
We go again on the 26th to 29thy August when we will give even more essential goods to around another 1,000 kids and teachers at six more migrant schools and of course we go back to Mae Tao Clinic as usual.
All we need now is some more of the same kind of things that we took last week and maybe a few small donations of cash to help us bring more happiness to those needy people in Northern Thailand.
Everything must go this week!
We even have some donated red wine, so be sure to come and buy a few books or other stuff and be our wine guest while your here.
