What makes fun and laughter - Eckie the clown - together with us ladies from the BWG went to Wat Saphan School in Klong Toey to put on a show for Sister Joan's 80th birthday.
Of course, we had to have children to celebrate with her and to watch the antics of a clown.
While Eddie (Eckie) was setting up, Jill Raymont, Wiff Johnson together with Mike Gris got the children in a party mood by singing the wheels on the bus with the actions, not sure who had the most fun watching them all.
There were about 135 children Altogether, all well behaved, sat down waiting in anticipation, Sister Joan arrived, then the show began.
A few of the children were not sure of Eckie at first as they did not know what was going to happen, but he soon had them laughing along with us ladies, they loved all the sounds and funny faces he made.
Once the show had finished, Yvonne presented Sister Joan with some flowers and the nursery school children had drawn sister a picture, her smiling face said it all, then it was ice creams all round, even for the big children which was us ladies.
Next, the older children were given an elephant, donated by the British women's group to take home; they were so excited, hugging them and such smiles on their faces.
The nursery children were given gifts by Mike Gris, all beautifully wrapped, blue for boys and pink for girls, mike's face was a picture handing out these presents.
It was then time to say our goodbyes, everyone leaving with a smile on their faces, a big thank you to Eckie the clown who once again gave the gift of happiness, fun and laughter and memories of a great afternoon.
