The village name means “Buddha’s Mountain” especially meaningful for this place which is located at the foot of a holy mountain according to local tradition.

Very Basic daily personal hygiene in this remote village
The village is close to the Thai/Burma border near Mae Sot, N. Thailand and around 70 children have recently been re-located to live in here since the landowners of their last village have repossessed the land.

We also visited the SAW (Social Action for Women) home for women and children with HIV/AIDS, Agapee Orphanage, Hwy Ka Lok village, Pi Ra Mi village and Mae Tao Clinic.

5 meter deep well that supplies 200 + people with all daily water needs.
We need to buy new water pumps and materials to supply the village with water from this well during the the dry season.
