We are delighted to say that we have acquired 12 computers after many long negotiations between us and our great friend from the Liverpudlian-side-of-down-town Perth - Australia...
'The Great Mrs. Debbie Singh' and her gaggle of Rotarian's from the Wanneroo Rotary Club have brought all this equipment over from the land down-under, so that our children can learn modern-day skills that may enable them to escape the poverty trap that they and their families are in. (What do we call a bus load of Rotarian's?).
This important donation of computers and flat-screen monitors is the biggest single donation of such equipment that the school has ever had and they are absolutely delighted to be receiving these gifts. The new computers will be placed in a special computer studies room that we equipped with good air-conditioning and insulation last year.
For those people in Bangkok who wish to join us...
We have arranged a VIP bus to leave the Dusit Thani hotel @ 08.00am on the 10th May and we intend to had-over the computers to our school in Ayutthaya on arrival about 10.00am.
There will be much-i-plenty fun and frivolity as well as some serious Monk blessings and dignitary 'Thank-You's' going-on...All this will be followed by some serious eating, drinking and more fun with the Antipodean Rotarian's in an air-con restaurant by the 'River something-or-other'...Then a nice trip to see the sights and temples of Ayutthaya with our good friend and guide Mr. Amarin Nissasoka (Who knows all about the ancient city stuff). Back to the Dusit by about 6.00pm-ish.
No charge for any of this, except your lunch. But...Please consider helping Debbie to pay for the bus, Thai key-boards for the PC's and Monk blessings etc...The bus can take over 40 people and we have just over 20 at this point-in-time...
