Prior to the remembrance service, we will visit the Wat Phu Takian Kindergarten to give our annual performance for the children who live near to Hell Fire Pass.
We are delighted to have received sponsorship for this project from OPUS RECRUITMENT THAILAND. Our great friend Mr. Gary Woollacott from Opus didn't hesitate to offer this sponsorship when he discovered we had lost our usual sponsor for this years event and of course we thank Mr. Woollacott very much for stepping-in with this kind support to help bring some more happiness to the children.
This is our 10th anniversary performance for the children, teachers and members of the Australian Chamber of Commerce. We are sure that everyone will be sure to remember and enjoy our visit almost as much as they did when we were honoured to give our annual performance in the presence of Her Excellency Ms Quentin Bryce AC - Governor General of the Commonwealth of Australia.
EMERGENCY APPEAL - JUST IN!
Go-Happiness have panes to visit Mae Sot on 27th April. We have just received an appeal for an emergency help (Sent Sunday 20th April) to build a toilet block for 70 kids (and families) who have been required to move out of their jungle village. The whole village have been relocated into another jungle clearing similar to where they have lived for many years, near Mae Sot, N. Thailand.
We need to get the building work started as soon as we arrive in Mae Sot on 27th April because the kids and families are using the fields right now and clearly, that's no good for their health!
We need to raise around ฿-35,000 ($US-1,100-00) to get the whole thing done quickly using local villagers and local suppliers of septic tank, building materials and labour.
