Gift of Happiness Foundation Volunteers, Eddie Haworth, Nicol Burr, Renato G Porzio and a Student of Suan Dusit University, Khun Tunlakan Thummalee (Nickname "First") set-out to follow-up on a previous visit to some slum/shanty town communities located around Samut Prakan, near Bangkok.
With the help of Khun First's translation skills, we spoke to the leaders of four very needy communities in the region and have started to arrange some Go Happiness Aid giving projects to be produced during the week of 13 to 17 May 2019.

Monday 06/05/19;
Gift of Happiness Foundation Volunteers, Eddie Haworth, Renato G Porzio and Student Khun First revisited the people who live on a large Garbage Dump in Samut Prakan, near Bangkok. This Aid giving project was quickly arranged overnight, following our visit on Sunday 5th when Eddie hear the news that the entire Garbage Dump Community is about to be evicted from the land by the end of May 2019.
Eddie decided to give the children some toys, clothing, toiletries and other essentials to take with them to the next Garbage Dump homes. We also gave some adult clothing and a few suitcases for the people to at least have a chance to take some personal belongings to where ever they end-up living.

Gift of Happiness Foundation gave a little comfort to the families who may soon become totally homeless when they are evicted from the garbage Dump where they have lived for generations past...
This old lady has lived on the garbage dump for more than 30 years. Soon she will become homeless alongside a the other families who live on the dump...

We provide vital aid and edutainment giving projects serving an average 2,000 children in need every month, plus many more families who are living in the slums of Bangkok. We cannot achieve this alone. The support of our donors, campaigners and friends is vital, so we want to make sure that we operate an efficient and effective organisation, directing our donor’s money where it is most needed. This is where our 100% pledge comes in.
In 2005, our Founder, Mr Eddie Haworth (AKA Clown Eckie Corporation) provided more than 500,000-THB ($15,964-USD) as required in legal fees and Government registration fees to set-up the Thai registered charity, Gift of Happiness Foundation. Eddie also provided the main 4x4 off-road capable vehicle needed for the charity to bring essential goods to remote parts of Thailand. He still covers repayments and maintenance costs for the latest 4x4 vehicle, purchased in 2018 at a cost of ฿1.2 million-THB ($38,300-USD). Eddie continued to cover all other running costs until Monroe Consulting Group, Bangkok made a 100% pledged to take-over those costs in 2015.
In 2015, our inspirational gold sponsor, Monroe Consulting Group gave Gift of Happiness Foundation the gift of a brand-new truck and a pledge to provide monthly cash donations to cover the Gift of Happiness Foundation’s core running costs; including administration, fundraising and office costs.
Thanks to the generous support of Monroe Consulting Group, 100% of the money you give to Gift of Happiness Foundation will go directly to Gift of Happiness Foundation projects and not to overhead or administrative costs.
