Southport Families Spreading Joy in Thailand!
In the heart of Southport, kindness is being packed into boxes, one toy, one book, one bundle of educational supplies at a time. Families like the Fosters, led by the ever-generous Mother Michelle and her two spirited ankle-biters, Clark and Guy, have been gathering gifts for children served by the Gift of Happiness Foundation in Thailand. These donations aren’t just symbolic gestures; they’re lifelines of joy and learning for kids living in slums, remote villages, and refugee camps. And come September and October, Eddie will be personally delivering these treasures, hand to hand, smile to smile, directly to the children who need them most.
Eddie has learned—through tears and laughter across continents—that we all cry and laugh in the same language.
It’s a beautiful reminder that compassion doesn’t need translation. Whether it’s a colouring book from a Southport kitchen table or a teddy bear tucked into a suitcase, every item carries the same message: “You matter.” I encourage more families to follow the Fosters’ lead. Start small. Start local. Start now. The children we serve may be thousands of miles away, but the impact of your generosity reaches them directly, no middlemen, no bureaucracy, just pure, unfiltered happiness. After all, as we’ve come to learn through years of laughter and tears: we all cry and laugh in the same language.
