Shining lights on the Police Border Patrol Schools in the Jungle along the Thai/Burma Border...
The Thai Border Patrol Police was organized in 1951 with assistance from the United States Central Intelligence Agency. Although technically part of the Royal Thai Police (RTP), the BPP has always enjoyed a great deal of autonomy within the national headquarters as well as in its field operations. The royal family was a principal patron of the organization. This traditional relationship benefited both the palace and its paramilitary protectors. In the past, many BPP commanders were former army officers. Nowadays, all BPP officers and commanders only have police background.
The Boarder Patrol Police Force has been guiding the Gift of Happiness Foundation leader, Eddie Haworth FRSA and his dear friend, volunteer and sponsor, Mr Jan Hansen through the jungles again along the Thai/Burma border in the Pranburi district of Thailand.

 | A large donation of solar lights have been given by https://www.solarbuddy.org/ to all the children at the Police Border Patrol School. Solar Buddy's mission is to illuminate the futures of children through the gift of light, they are a small team of 8 based in Australia with one team member based in northern Thailand. Their corporate partners and schools pay to assemble the lights and we then work with over 40 local charity partners across the world to gift them to children and communities who do not have access to clean, reliable energy. |
